Job description
We are seeking a Farm Worker to help on our farm.
The ideal candidate would be a self employed individual with a background in farming that has necessary qualifications such as a forklift license however this is not compulsory as full training will be given.
It is compulsory that you hold a full UK driving license as you will be required to drive tractors on a main road. Own transport is also essential - there are very limited public transport links.
The successful applicant must be able to take direction well and have good communication skills. You must also be able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
Day-to-day tasks:
- feed and tend to cattle
- take part in fertilisation, cultivation and harvesting of crops
- operate and maintain farm machinery
- keeping the site and sheds clean and tidy
Start time 08:00 til approx 17:00 (including a 1 hour lunch break).
We currently need someone to work 3 full days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and to feed/check the cattle every other weekend (flexible). The feeding takes 30 minutes - 1hr per day.
We need you to be available to work full time from the start of July through to October as this is our busy harvest time and this will include working overtime hours when required.
