AI/ML Datascienst Intern

Diagonal Matrix Ltd is seeking a Data Scientist, AI/ML Intern to join our team! This internship is to help students gain experience and participants have to come to work in Reading. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in marketing and sales.

Our team needs 20 UK based AI/ML Data Scientist interns, ideally come to work in Reading, UK and to connect with our team.

As a Machine Learning Intern, you will learn and contribute to:

Job Description:

  • Gathering and organizing large datasets.
  • Cleaning and preprocessing data to remove noise and inconsistencies.
  • Conducting exploratory data analysis to gain insights from data.
  • Identifying patterns and trends.
  • Selecting relevant features or variables for analysis.
  • Creating new features that can improve model performance.
  • Developing machine learning models using algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, or deep learning.
  • Training models on data and fine-tuning hyperparameters.
  • Assessing model performance using appropriate metrics (e.g., accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, ROC AUC).
  • Conducting cross-validation and testing on holdout datasets.
  • Deploying machine learning models to production systems.
  • Integrating models into existing applications or workflows.
  • Creating data visualizations and reports to communicate insights and results to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Working with data science tools such as Jupyter, pandas, and NumPy.
  • Applying statistical techniques to validate hypotheses and make data-driven decisions.
  • Understanding the industry or domain in which the data science work is being performed.
  • Working with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark for processing large datasets.
  • Ensuring that models are interpretable and can be explained to stakeholders.
  • Designing and conducting A/B tests to evaluate the impact of changes or interventions.
  • Adhering to ethical guidelines and ensuring data privacy and security.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business analysts.
  • Managing data science projects, including scoping, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Identifying and defining business problems that can be addressed with data science.
  • Monitoring model performance in production and retraining models as needed to maintain accuracy.
  • Effectively communicating findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
