Job description

Octavius Infrastructure Limited is a leading engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

We are looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising our sub-contractor as they undertake lift upgrades and installations on the DLR infrastructure as part of a three-year programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily supervision of sub-contractor on site in DLR stations
  • Reporting daily progress of work to the project manager
  • Producing daily shift reports
  • Reporting any accidents or incidents to the project manager
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard and within project deadlines
  • Coordinating with other supervisors and contractors on site
  • Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to

Requirements:

  • Experience as a supervisor, ideally with a mechanical and electrical bias
  • First aid trained
  • Track knowledge, Sentinel cards, and SSSTS competency are an advantage
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate
