As Head of IT the candidate will play a critical role in achieving the overall business objectives by leading and managing IT initiatives and projects that support the organization's goals and objectives. It includes leading IT teams, managing projects, and working with stakeholders across the organization to ensure the effective use of technology and maintain business continuity.
The main purpose and focus of the role are to align technology solutions with business requirements, lead the delivery of IT projects, and ensure the effective use of technology to support the organization's goals.
Additionally, the IT Lead is also responsible for working with the IT Operations/Infrastructure to develop and implement IT policies and procedures, manage the IT budget, and provide technical expertise to support the effective use of technology.
Role Objectives :
- Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and project delivery.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and direction to cross-functional teams and ensure the effective delivery of IT solutions that meet business requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Work with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and ensure that technology solutions align with these requirements.
- IT Strategy Development: Collaborate with the IT Operation/Infrastructure and other stakeholders to develop and implement IT strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
- Budget Management: Work with the IT Operations/Infrastructure Managers to manage the IT budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that IT spending is aligned with business objectives.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of quality IT services.
- IT Policy and Procedure Development: Work with the IT mangers to develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient use of technology.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with IT projects and initiatives, and ensure the effective mitigation of these risks.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the effective use of technology and the delivery of IT solutions that meet business requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the use of technology to support the organization's goals and objectives.
Knowledge:
This position requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, leadership skills, and business acumen to effectively lead IT initiatives and projects that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of various technologies in IT infrastructure, hardware, security, and business OA systems.
- Project Management: Knowledge of project management methodologies, including experience in leading and managing IT projects.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with stakeholders across the organization.
- Business Acumen: A good understanding of the business, with the ability to align technology solutions with business requirements and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, ensure clear and effective communication with colleagues from different countries including China, NL, Germany taking into account any language barriers and cultural differences.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage risks associated with IT projects and initiatives.
- Adaptability: The ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements. Be flexible and adaptable and be open to new ways of working and different approaches to problem-solving.
- Budget Management: Knowledge of budget management and financial planning, with the ability to manage the IT budget and allocate resources effectively.
- Vendor Management: Knowledge of vendor management, including experience in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with IT vendors.
- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred
