We are searching for Jedi’s who reflect the innovative spirit, creative talent, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that defines ILM.
Position Summary
The London Jedi Academy offers a six month paid placement to current-year graduating students. Graduates who successfully complete the program may be offered a Junior position within the studio.
The Jedi Academy provides the opportunity for graduating artists to learn from highly skilled senior artists in a variety of creative disciplines. Jedi’s will be carefully placed into a discipline and will provide entry-level support to that team. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain experience in a live production environment through training, mentorship, and real shot-work experience in a fast-paced and highly collaborative studio.
Primary Responsibilities
Assisting Senior Artist, Supervisors or Production, to take smaller tasks off their schedules.
Assist with data migration, ingesting assets, renaming and publishing.
Delivering simple assets/shot work to a good standard and on schedule.
Communicate and collaborate with peers.
Show openness and seek opportunities to be mentored.
The ability to think logically and break complex issues into smaller tasks/steps when troubleshooting.
London Jedi Academy Eligibility
Applicants must have proof of the right and eligibility to work in the UK. We are not able to provide assistance for relocation, housing, transportation, or work authorisation for the Jedi Academy.
Applicants must have graduated from a relevant course within the last 12 months. This includes all graduating BA’s, BSC’s, MA’s, VFX related short courses and programmes.
