Job description
Bloomberg News is seeking a reporter in London to cover the UK pharmaceutical industry and health-care issues. As we emerge from one of the worst pandemics in recent years, this dynamic beat will involve covering some of the biggest drugmakers in the world, including AstraZeneca and GSK, pharmaceutical breakthroughs and biotech innovation, biosecurity risks and the challenges facing the UK's National Health Service.
The position involves building sources to break news, interviewing the scientists and executives who lead these companies, attending major conferences and covering everything from new drugs to emerging virus threats to the revolution taking place in the treatment of obesity. There's ample scope for longer-form articles on a wide range of topics such as diversity in clinical trials and the effects of artificial intelligence on the industry.
