Job summary

The position is located within the Logistics Warehousing Team, with the capability to be utilised in any of the Logistics controlled warehouses, covering a broad range of general warehousing activities.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week

Job description

The primary purpose of a Logistics Storekeeper is to provide a quality customer service for a range of duties, to include receiving, inspection, storage and issue of warehouse commodities. It may also involve taking care of customers on a face-to-face basis, both on site and within their homes, upon delivery or collection of their temporary furniture.

Must have basic digital literacy to operate on site computer databases, apply regulations and follow written or verbal instructions.

Person specification

Successful candidates will be required to acquire a SC clearance, but will be expected to obtain and maintain an enhanced DV clearance once in post to enable them to fully carry out all duties that may be assigned.

The incumbent must have a full valid UK driving licence and with appropriate training, operate powered material handling equipment. Personnel will not be issued a licence to operate a vehicle of a larger category than authorised by their British licence.

Candidates must be in good physical condition and be capable to lift/handle containers weighing up to 35kgs. They will be expected to climb steps within houses and to reach high storage locations within the warehouses.

Licences

A UK driving licence is necessary in order to operate vehicles and equipment utilised within the Warehouses.
