Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to optimize the company's logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.

Oversee the entire supply chain process from procurement to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods.

Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, production, and procurement teams, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of logistics activities.

Manage relationships with external vendors, including carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, to ensure efficient and reliable services.

Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Experience:

Proven experience of at least 3 years in logistics management, preferably in a fast-paced industry.

Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and industry trends.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges.

Proficiency in using logistics software and systems to track and optimize shipments.

Demonstrated ability to manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to logistics and transportation.

Must hold Full Driving Licence.
