Who we need

We are looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager who brings a common sense approach and adaptability to ensuring efficiency and introducing continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director and managing a team of 20 over two sites, this is an opportunity to oversee people, inventory, warehouse, and third-party communications and processes. You will lead activities such as verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposing of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory up to date.

What’s in it for you

Impact, mentorship and career growth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take charge of an inventory, assembly and production team and work alongside the Director as a true partner. You will be working with an energetic manager who fosters a professional and respectful environment; someone with an incredible depth of knowledge you can leverage. As a scaling global organization headquartered in Canada, that supports the learning and promotion of its people, you will be able to pursue your own career goals, learn and apply best practices, and introduce your own insights from lessons learned.

You will:

  • Be accountable for the efficient operations of the warehouse. You will maintain optimal inventory levels for all raw materials, assemblies and finished products. You will be responsible for overall inventory control and material storage, including reconciliation with data systems.
  • Report on inventory. You will monitor the performance of the inventory and production plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. You will participate in the configuration of material planning data and information needed for new products.
  • Own shipments from end to end. You will monitor preparations, including scheduling international shipments to achieve on-time shipping performance. You will monitor incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, integrity, and condition.
  • Manage the team. You will inspire and support a best-in-class team, fostering a safe, efficient, and quality environment. You will assign and take ownership of daily tasks, including inventory, cycle counts, and materials management. You will be responsible for overseeing warehouse staff, including goal setting, annual reviews, ongoing training, and performance management.
  • Monitor inventory control activities. You will manage the organization and disposal of rescued, damaged, returned or unused material. You will oversee and execute the physical inventory strategy, including daily cyclical counts and research the root cause of unexpected results. You will maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new designs, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repair and replacement requests.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts. You will lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for technological improvements, and recommend changes in materials placement to optimize productivity.
  • Collaborate and communicate. You will connect with internal and external customers, operations personnel, senior management, and affiliates on all matters related to the warehouse operation and inventory process.

You have:

  • The warehouse experience. You have worked in a warehouse inventory and product assembly environment across a number of roles - at the team and lead level - gaining knowledge and best practices in logistics, inventory, safety, and project management. You can manage high-volume materials movement, exporting and importing both physically from one building to another and from one system to another to keep counts accurate. You are quality focused and aim to exceed the expectations of customers.
  • The drive. You have experience introducing and optimizing processes and managing change. You have exceptional attention to detail and adherence to processes. You can confidently work across any level of stakeholder. You can remain calm and objective under stress or when managing conflict.
  • The people leadership. You are comfortable managing a team of 20+, assigning and overseeing work. You can build and nurture relationships with a team, coach individuals, provide constructive feedback on performance, and lead change management. You believe in leading by example and fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. You have professional communication skills and a focus on creating awareness of project status across multiple teams and levels.
  • The flexibility. You are open to traveling to other locations in North America on occasion.
