Wharfeside is our fabulous new home in Otley. Purpose built to provide excellent care for residents with varying degrees of support.
Built over 3 floors with 66 beds and including a dementia floor, we have roles to engage all levels of care assistants.
As a care assistant, the hourly rate is £9.96, with a pay increase of £10.96 in April 2023.
We have part time and full time positions available, working a mix of earlies and lates. Due to the nature of the position you will be expected to work every other weekend.
Your role as a Care Assistant, will be to provide person-centred care and support for residents. That includes personal care, mealtimes and engagement through activities, either in groups with shared interests or on an individual basis. You’ll also be there to provide a listening ear to those who need it most.
Every day as a care assistant will be interesting and varied – all our residents are different, from their care needs to their personalities and life experiences. What you’ll do can be inspiring and hugely enjoyable, as you build strong relationships based on understanding, trust and genuine care.
