As the Logistics Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of Vehicles, Drivers, and Health & Safety of A1 Transport (NI) Ltd.
We are looking for an experienced professional from the haulage industry, who is ambitious & continually strives to improve. They must have a comprehensive understanding of:

A1 Transport (NI) Ltd is a leading Transport company based in County Fermanagh and operates throughout Northern Ireland, UK and Europe. We Predominantly specialise in running a fleet of articulated vehicles, with an expansive fleet of high volume curtainsided trailers. Over the last 2 years we have invested over £3 Million into new vehicles. We operate a 24 hr 7 day a week service.
A1 Transport operates from our main Depot outside Derrylin in County Fermanagh. This role will be based at our HQ in Derrylin and is a full-time permanent role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures Health and Safety, Environmental and Operator's Licence compliance, whilst delivering best in class customer service, measured against business KPIs for Safety, Service and Profitability.
- Understands and leverages the company’s operating systems and communication devices
- Oversees cost control and KPI performance, actively seeking to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs.
- Understands and appreciates customer requirements and quality standards
- authority for commercial vehicle and other vehicle maintenance and transport compliance.
- Ensuring records are managed relating to vehicles and drivers i.e., relating to vehicle roadworthiness and drivers' hours
- Maintains an excellent working knowledge of, and works proactively and in accordance with, all current and anticipated legislative requirements and best practice relevant to the transport industry.
- Ensures that all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to, including H&S induction and training, operating procedures, near miss reporting and emergency procedures.
- Proactively support and adhere to all HR, GDPR and Health & Safety policies to ensure the Company and Department are fully compliant.
Key Skills / Attributes:
- Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage (compulsory)
- Customer, people and results centric;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Maintains a positive attitude to continued learning and growth
Salary: will be based on Experience and relevant Qualifications.
