Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Management Graduate to join their well-established global manufacturing business. You will gain a well-rounded view across all Logistics functions gaining a full understanding of the operations within the business. The objective of this graduation role is to lead into becoming talented future management within the business.
Job Description
- As the Logistics Management Graduate you will be involved with ensuring product is readily available and achieve the plan in order to achieve agreed daily and weekly targets.
- Working with planning and the warehouse ensure all urgent ware is prioritised in order to meet customer despatch dates
- As the Logistics Management Graduate you will monitor cartons stock levels and place orders with suppliers in a timely manor to avoid any delay in the packing operation.
- To ensure the scrapping process is followed and adequate investigation is performed in line with the scrapping procedure.
- Input all daily packing and selection productivity figures and take corrective action when figures are not met.
- To communicate with warehouse colleagues to create a culture of continuous improvement and self awareness of performance.
- To Lead process improvement initiatives to develop departmental KPI’s.
- To train colleagues to ensure that they have the necessary skills to carry out their duties in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain a good level of house keeping to the standard set by 5c
- To complete all return-to-work interview for colleagues who are absent and carry out inductions for new starters, managing performance and other HR related duties
- Work with the quality team to for all NPD trials
Candidate Requirements
- A recent graduate educated to degree level within the last few years
- Computer literate with good knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office
- Strong team player - ideally someone who can demonstrate this e.g., team activities
- Excellent inter-personal, oral and written communication skills, timekeeping and organisation
- The ability to priorities tasks and to manage your workload
- A confident individual able to lead a team
- Ambitious and driven
- Someone who has natural problem-solving skills
- Ideally own transport, however, this is not essential
