Job description
Logistics Intern Programmes
Fixed term: June – August 2023
Make our logistics legendary
Keen to get to the heart of customer service? To deliver people-first logistics solutions with the power to transform business? Join us on our Logistics Intern Programme and experience what it is like to work as part of the on-site management team in our Castle Donington Distribution Centre. Because it’s never too soon to think about your future legacy.
Our logistics team are right at the heart of delivering the products our customers want through a service they love. Logistics has enabled our transformation into a truly multi-channel retailer; through key developments like creating our own platform to give us greater control; establishing our hi-tech E-Commerce Distribution Centre; and via our international websites and in-store technologies, which all enhance the customer experience.
Through the ten-week Internship you’ll become an integral part of the team, gaining hands-on practical management experience as your work across a number of departments. You’ll see how our innovations as well as how our existing practices help us deliver a culture of continuous improvement, and how we use data to drive our operation and achieve our targets. Learning all about how we engage, lead and develop our people along the way, and seeing first-hand how our leaders deliver for customers. Show an ability to adapt to meet demands, a curiosity for the commercial world, an analytical mindset, and a passion for crafting a seamless experience, and you’ll do well here. Do really well, and you could even be offered a place on our graduate scheme.
Legends are made, not born – so we’ll invest in your soft skills development and help you understand a bit more about yourself. You’ll come away with greater skills, knowledge and insight into what a career in Logistics could look like once you graduate.
You don’t need a specific degree to apply for this programme, but you’ll need to be an analytical problem solver, with a love of process and delivery, an interest in leadership and a determination to succeed.
Please note this role is based at in our Castle Donington Distribution Centre in the Midlands and you need to be prepared to work various shifts across our 24/7 operation. You may also have occasional travel to different sites and our Support Centre in London.
