Born from a desire to connect, curate, and cultivate meaningful relationships between makers and design lovers. This includes retail operations, manufacturing, distribution, and art concept, all servicing the luxury residential and contract markets.
We are seeking a full-time Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Manager, Logistics, this position focuses on the day-to-day Global Logistics. This is an opportunity for a dynamic professional to support daily operations and gain insight into data management, order tracking, and have valuable exposure to luxury commodities.
Responsibilities and Function:
- Manage end-to-end global logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, customs compliance, import/export documentation, and trade compliance for a global supply chain.
- Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods across international borders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations and resolve any issues.
- Consolidating LCLs/FCLs out of many origins in Europe.
- Coordinating daily shipment operations with clients, vendors, and company’s overseas offices.
- Booking Air Freight Shipments globally.
- Reviewing purchase orders and other shipping documents to ensure that all requirements have been met.
- Tracking and tracing shipments.
- Maintain effective relationship with clients and answer general inquiries regarding shipment status.
- Entering payables and receivables associated with shipments.
- Reviewing and confirming client orders, following up to ensure we have all the necessary information to deliver the service.
- Creating quotes and booking 3rd party logistics.
- Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in handling LCL/FCL import shipments on a start-to-finish basis.
- Understanding the fundamental knowledge of import customs processes
- Ability to cost, quote and invoice shipment files with awareness of profit control.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms
- Strong problem solver
- Experience with using ERP systems is required (SAP B1)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle tight deadlines with ease and remains focused under pressure.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills required.
- Work well under time constraints and readily meet deadlines.
- Team player - demonstrated ability to work well individually and cross functionally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
