About The Role

• Liaising with our clearing agents to clear goods through customs and communicate issues with our seasonal supply base to resolve any clearance issues.
• Monitor vessel departures and arrivals to maximise free port time and reduce stock holding at port and at depot.
• Monitoring of daily intakes against booking sheets / booking slots. Management of times expected and actual and communications to hauliers, supplier and other AMT departments when issues / delays occur. Re-booking new times / days as required and communicating to all departments within AMT, AMK, Haulier and supplier as appropriate, with information and hard copy documentation information as required
• Reduce transport, freight costs by maximising load fills.
• Daily communications with clearing agents / hauliers / service providers.
• Invoice checking / general administration.
• The checking and upload of supplier manifest information.
• The booking and management of Direct deliveries to Tesco depots.
• Liaising with the AM Fresh Logistics Hub in Spain as well as Spanish hauliers to manage timely deliveries to Tesco Depots and Service providers keeping stakeholders updated throughout.
• Ensure supply chain and operational teams across Amt & AMK are kept advised at all times of any stock delays through delayed shipments, supplier load delays, delayed clearance, clearance issues that could impact on stock management, supply to customer base.
• Ensure that all arrivals are notified to the appropriate departments across AMT & AMK.
• Out of office logistics support rota cover, Communicating within the required AMT depts., hauliers, suppliers, AMK, clearing agent. Etc.
• Direct Delivery KPI’s – NH season

About You

• Ideally have worked in a similar role within the Fresh Produce industry
• Be highly computer literate
• Have excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of the shipping industry within the produce industry
• Knowledge of clearance documentation and process needs for the produce industry, and processes required to import, clear goods from the EU and Worldwide into the UK
• Knowledge of the UK Transport and Retailer Produce industry
• Interpreting and analysing data skills
