Job description
Action Express are looking for an Experienced Sameday Coordinator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of all Sameday customer deliveries, ensuring optimised use of the fleet alongside third party hauliers, to ensure the efficient delivery throughout the UK. Duties will include:
- Plan, schedule, and process deliveries nationally of Sameday deliveries
- Must have Sameday experience
- Utilise routing and scheduling software to optimise efficiency
- Optimise routes to maximise efficiency and drive down costs
- Provide solutions and contingency plans for any delivery issues
- Manage all activities associated with returnable transit packaging
- Communicate with Transport Manager to ensure plans are achievable
- Raising of purchase orders for all 3rd party suppliers and checking them off against the supplier invoice
- Compiling and communicating weekly / monthly KPI reports
Skills, experience & attributes:
- Ability to maintain control in a busy, fast paced working environment
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Effective at prioritising & organising own workload.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel and Microsoft office
- KPI driven with a proven track record of optimisation
- Experience with continuous improvement
- Experience within a multi drop logistics environment and utilisation of route planning & scheduling software packages would be advantageous
Hours
- 0800-1730 Monday to Friday
Pay
- Salary negotiable based on experience
