Position Summary
The Substitute Office Clerk works under the supervision of the Site Operations Manager. They perform a variety of tasks that are crucial to the effective running of the main office in support of students, families, and staff members.

Responsibilities
- Ensure safety of students in the front office and around school, and support with all general student concerns (first aid, late arrival, etc).
- Serve all families and staff in the main office through providing excellent customer service
- Support Site Operations Manager and Junior Office Manager with all assigned tasks and projects
- General office duty support as requested, ie. filing, incoming/outgoing mail, etc.
- Support with discipline system per school wide progressive discipline steps
- Support family communication via flyer creation, Robo-calls, translation, etc.
- All other duties as assigned

- Excellent team player with a high degree of willingness to be hands-on and do whatever it takes to support the success of Cox Academy and Education for Change Public Schools
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively, accurately and with discretion (both orally and in written form) with students, parents and staff
- Ability to be flexible and work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task, and perform well under pressure
- Proactive, independent thinker, goal oriented
- Must be willing to learn, possess a growth mindset, and be able to use feedback to refine practice
- Experience working with diverse communities
- Support cafeteria staff and operations as needed
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Google docs, Gmail
- Professional dress required
- Punctuality is a must
- Spanish bilingual required
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two years experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience, in a large organization or school.
