Health Improvement Lead (Tobacco)

Working with a Greater Glasgow and Clyde remit you will be a highly motivated individual who will deliver and co-ordinate a range of Quit Your Way (smoking cessation) programmes within the Health Improvement Team in Public Health Directorate. You will work closely with Health Improvement Leads within Glasgow City to deliver board wide smoking cessation services as part of a wider tobacco control programme. Leading on smoking cessation you will strategically develop services across a range of settings including Acute; Maternity; Community and Pharmacy services in order to meet the Local Delivery Plan Standard for smoking cessation. You will have responsibility for monitoring performance of the service and taking necessary action to maintain improvements as required. You will co-ordinate support the delivery of Tobacco Control activities working closely with Health Improvement teams in local HSCP areas. Your will have a proven experience within the tobacco field and extensive knowledge of smoking cessation service delivery. All applicants will have a relevant post graduate qualification. The post holder will be required to work closely with senior colleagues in Acute Services; Health and Social Care Partnerships; Local Authorities and Community/ Third Sector organisations providing strategic leadership and project management to deliver health improvement outcomes in relation to Smoking Cessation and Tobacco Control.
