Your New Role…
The Digital Media Manager role is pivotal in driving and managing all WBD UK digital media activities. The successful candidate will have practical experience in all facets of executing digital media campaigns across multiple channels including Search, Display, Video and Social. The Digital Media Manager should also demonstrate a strong background in audience centric, data-driven media execution with good local market knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem – including (but not limited to) successful tactics, potential pitfalls, key inventory partners & legal restrictions (e.g. GDPR).
Overall, the Digital Media Manager is responsible for ensuring that all WBD paid digital activities aim to:
a) Deliver standout media performance against an agreed set of metrics and KPIs
b) Enhance/augment the overall digital, and broader communications planning strategy
c) Aid the collection, retention & utilisation of the Warner Bros. Discovery 1st party data strategy
d) Continue building towards our genre, franchise & divisional best practice to help the business maintain a competitive advantage in the digital marketing ecosystem
Please note: This is a 12 month, fixed-term contract.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Work closely with WBD Marketing Managers across the different UK Divisions to understand their individual campaign requirements and then drive the digital marketing components of those activities
Act as a conduit for knowledge sharing with other key international markets, as well as our head office colleagues in Burbank
Make sure that our digital campaigns are delivering against the overall data and programmatic strategy and informing the business on future planning and campaign insights
Manage day to day activities of partner media agencies including:
Input into campaign briefing
Positioning digital media on the broad media plan
Supporting budget allocation by digital channel
Identification of campaign KPI’s and managing media partners to achieve the desired results
Ensure campaigns are implemented and managed throughout their lifecycle
Act as a key point of escalation for campaign-related issues, and partner with internal and external teams to drive resolution in a timely manner
Participate in the active tracking of performance across all campaigns and regularly review campaign performance with agencies and teams
Review campaign wrap-up reports and making recommendations on improvements to future campaigns
Evaluate bid strategies and best-practices for implementation into programmatic programs
Drive the direction and development of digital media strategies based on WBD business goals
Partner with the Data Strategy & Insights Manager on audience identification and creation of audience segments for upcoming media campaigns
Drive digital media innovation across the WBD business and challenge digital media agency partners to grow key capabilities
Work with our media agency to maintain best practices around brand safety and viewability
Leverage proprietary and 3rd party data and tools for campaign strategy and planning, in collaboration with our media agency
Constantly evaluate emerging technology & strategies to help maintain a competitive advantage
Be main point of contact for digital partners (Google, Meta, Amazon etc)
Qualifications & Experience…
Experience of managing and developing integrated digital media strategies, plans and campaigns
Proven operator with regard to the planning and execution of campaigns across multiple marketing groups and business units
Expert knowledge of the digital media landscape and it’s cross-channel capabilities
Strong digital experience across Social, Video, Display, Programmatic & Search
Track record of efficient stakeholder management
Able to initiate and drive opportunities independently, while operating in a complex organization, and in an environment that changes quickly
A demonstrable passion for all things digital media
Knowledge & strategic application of marketing capabilities such as DMPs, DSPs, clean rooms and other campaign tools
Outstanding collaboration internally and externally with digital media agencies, media owners and strategic partners
Excellent communication skills, including presenting to management teams
High levels of energy, creativity, and enthusiasm with a strong sense of commitment.
