We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Taunton as a Live In Care Care Professional. As a Live In Care Professional, you will live in a client's home and provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home.
"GD" is a lady in her early 80s, living in a small village near Taunton, Somerset. "GD" is keen to find a live-in Care Professional to support her with day to day living tasks and companionship whilst she is recovering from her hip replacement. "GD" uses a wheeled walker to get around her home. "GD" is still building up her confidence around mobility but would love to work towards going out on trips again in the future as she really enjoys looking around historical places like Hestercombe House and Montacute House.
"GD" is a keen music lover, watching operettas on TV and singing. "GD" used to be very active in the community and her local church and although this has waned a lot since covid but "GD" would like to build up her confidence to get more involved with it again.
Suitable candidate would need to be a driver with own transport, as the village is small and not much to do during the 2h break provided for the Care Professional each day.
- Encouraging and supportive to motivate "GD" to complete daily exercises prescribed by physiotherapist in order to better her mobility.
- Experience with Dementia Care is required
- Knowledge of offering social and emotional support
- Medication administration
- Nutrition management

Additional Information
As a Live In Care Professional, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. You will be compensated one way travel to the clients home at the beginning of your assignment. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
