ABOUT THE POSITION:
This position provides mid-level administrative and clerical support to a college administrator. This position requires a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to the organizational unit. The work is generally diversified requiring judgment to apply broader aspects of established policies, practices and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Opens and / or closes Learning Resource Center as needed.
- Assists patrons, in-person or via telephone with LRC information and with the borrowing and returning of library materials including charge and discharge transactions, overdue materials, recovery and record keeping.
- Interprets library loan polices to inquiring patron and assists patrons with physical access to materials.
- Assists faculty and students in locating books and Journal Articles via Computer Data Base.
- Inputs and maintains data base of non-affiliated borrowers granted special library privileges.
- Collects and reports statistical data on the performance of services as assigned.
- Performs general clerical and administrative tasks related to the operation of the library.
The position has standard hours from 8:00- 1:00 Monday - Thursday that could include an occasional shift.
This position is a level C13. Please see starting salary range below.

- Experience with computer, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

- Ability to maintain confidential information.
Required Education:
Graduation from a standard high school (or equivalent).
Required Experience
Qualifications include one year of office/clerical experience.
Preferred Experience:
Eighteen months of library clerical/technical work experience is preferred.
We offer part time benefits for this position which include 50% fee waivers and retirement eligibility.
