Library Assistant & Administrator
Salary: Grade 5, points 5 – 7, £14,835 – £15,381 pro-rata (£21,575 - £22,369
FTE)
Contract: Term time only plus four INSET days
Term: Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week 8.30 am – 3.00 pm Monday – Friday
Some flexibility required to support occasional meetings until 4pm
Starting date: 6th June 2023
Reporting to: Librarian
The main duties of this role are as Burford School Library assistant. We require a person who is foremost: book-loving, hardworking and friendly. Some experience of working in a library and/or with children would be helpful, but training will be provided.
The successful candidate will have good rapport with children, strong ICT skills, and will work well both within a team and independently. Most importantly, they should have an enthusiasm for books and reading, and a willingness to work with library users of all abilities and interests.
In addition, this person will support the Assistant Headteacher – Teaching & Learning as a PA and provide some administrative support to the English Department.
