Job description
As part of a team you will assist with the effective delivery of library services. You will participate in front-line services and administrative duties including support for self-issue systems, IT and printing. You will assist users with directional and initial information enquiries; including the use of the library catalogue, electronic information resources and participate in roaming support. You will also be required to participate in shelving activities and demonstrate an understanding of manual handling guidelines which will be required when lifting heavy items.
The role, based at Chelsea College of Art, is 21 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, 7 hours per day. Normal working hours will be 9am-5pm but there can be a requirement to work any time during our 8.30am-8pm core hours.

Library and Student Support Services is a university wide Directorate delivering high quality services to support all students studying at UAL so that they can fulfil their potential and get the best from their university experience.
You should have relevant library or customer service experience, and formal training or education to post-16 level. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be IT literate. Working in a small team, you will provide positive and responsive customer service.
