- Salary: £31,099 to £35,411 ( A local weighting allowance of £1,002 is also payable )

- Working Hours: Full time 37 hrs per week (including alternate Saturdays see working pattern below)
- Location: working across all Slough Libraries
- DBS requirement: Enhanced

What you’ll be doing:
We are looking for an energetic and committed Library Supervisor to join our dedicated library team.

You will have the right skills to manage and enthuse staff and volunteers and organise and deliver events and initiatives to promote and encourage the use of library services.
As Library supervisor you will have excellent communication and IT skills, and the resilience to deal with a broad range of customer queries. You will need good IT and social media skills, and be able to work under pressure adapting and responding to changing situations.
You will have responsibility for managing the day-to-day front line operations across 4 libraries, managing staff and rotas to maintain our library opening hours and deliver the objectives in the Library plan You will be responsible for managing a team of staff ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered at all levels across the library service.
As Library Supervisor you will play a key role in the delivery of the library operating model and 5 year plan.
Slough Library Services
A public consultation in 2022 highlighted that Slough library service is highly valued by both residents and members. The service has successfully implemented a new operating model and introduced a new 5 year Library Service plan. The service is delivered through four sites in Britwell, Cippenham, Langley and The Curve, and online with access to e- resources including books, magazines and newspapers. We provide digital support to residents through access to public computers, printing and WiFi and events and activities to support reading and literacy.
