Study for a Level 5 Software Development ICT Apprenticeship qualification
Have a buddy and a dedicated programme manager including side by side job shadowing and coaching
Access to first class technical and business training, plus Citi’s online training portal
Exposure to cutting-edge technologies including big data plus the opportunity to experience across the full Software Development Lifecucle (SDLC)
Work with global counterparts in one of the world’s largest investment banks like Compliance, Technology, Operations and Product
As an Apprentice your day will look something like this…
Assignments change each year based on the business needs of the teams. Below are some examples:
Business Analysis & Project Management – using business knowledge to assist with data analysis and requirements gathering across the SDLC, working with wider technology teams throughout project lifecycles
Software Development - writing code for our Surveillance applications to detect instances of market abuse. Learn to write clean, testable code that can be easily maintained by other developers in future
Software Quality Assurance Testing - conduct a variety of quality control and user acceptance tests and analyses to ensure that applications meet standards and end-user requirements
DevOps and Release Management - release management team decide if code can be released into our live systems or not. Support the deployment and scheduling of the applications to ensure regulations are met.
Successful candidates will have…
5 GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent
2 A-Levels or equivalent grades A-C
Successful applicants will be enrolled on to the Belfast Met Level 5 Course and must have completed and passed the Mindmill Testing for consideration
Exceptional candidates who do not meet this criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
