Salary: Starting at £9.18ph before April 2023 and £10.18ph from April 2023 onwards plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week

Apprenticeship programme
During this Level 3 Engineering apprenticeship programme, we will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career. Throughout the 42 - month programme, you will continue to develop your behaviours such as team working, problem-solving and customer focus.
As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, you’ll also gain academic and vocational qualifications such as a Level 3 Technical (knowledge) Certificate BTEC in Engineering, NVQ (competency) in Engineering, as well as Health and Safety (IOSH) Awareness Training.
What will you be doing?
You will be trained, coached and mentored to carry out the on-site operation and maintenance support on a range of industrial utility equipment, including combined heat and power, steam boilers, pumps and motors, water treatment, filtration systems and chemical dosing.
Working alongside a technician you will:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on steam boilers and utility plants, compressed air systems, cooling systems, pumps and motors.
- Assisting with routine steam boiler operational tasks to comply with legislation and company procedures.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities with the ability to multi-skill where possible with a proven trade bias.
- Carrying out fault diagnosis on electrical LV control and power circuits.
- Regular monitoring, supervision and interaction of key sub-contractors.
What are we looking for?
- A driving licence is essential due to it being a mobile role
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths & English
- Good communication skills
- Be able to work a flexible system to meet the demands of the business and team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Logical thinker
- Attention to detail
