We are currently recruiting for a brilliant new apprentice to join our Health, Safety and Environmental team in Swindon!
Join Colas Rail on one of our Apprenticeship Programmes today to jump start your career and begin to provide you with the technical skills that you will need to realise your potential. The duration of the scheme will be 2 years and you will be supported through your formal apprenticeship course, as well as gaining real life experience within your role.
As an apprentice with Colas Rail, you will be enrolled on the Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician Apprenticeship Programme and you can expect to be working closely with our experienced members of the team and management on improving the health, safety and environmental projects within Colas Rail. As part of your apprenticeship scheme you will attend training to learn the more advanced skills of your technical specialism and throughout your programme we will support you with all the technical training that you will need to become a competent and experienced member of our H,S, E team. We will give you the opportunity to continuously learn and develop your skills and knowledge, with the goal to helping you achieve TechIOSH level with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Person requirements
We're looking for enthusiastic and determined people who can work both independently and in a team. For all our Apprenticeship Programmes, we are looking for a minimum of a Grade C / 4 in Maths and English, and the ability to stand out either through previous work experience, extracurricular activities etc. We are also looking for apprentices who share our ethics and behaviours, but are not afraid to look at ways in which we can continuously improve.

We don't want to overcomplicate our recruitment process; here is what you can expect.
