As WBD Inc’s portfolio continues to grow - around the world and across platforms - the Technology & Operations team is building media technology and IT systems that meet the world class standard for which WBD is known. T&O builds, implements and maintains the business systems and technologies that are critical for delivering WBD’s products, while articulating the long-term technology strategy that will enable WBD’s growing Pay-TV, Digital Terrestrial, Free-to Air and online services, to reach more audiences on more platforms.
From Amsterdam to Singapore and from satellite and broadcast operations to SAP, we are driving WBD forward on the leading edge of technology.
As a level 2 support engineer, you will mainly be working on WBD Sports products. The brand has recently transitioned to a full IP technology platform for all Europe, based on a hybrid architecture combining on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
Teams based both in London and Paris manage the engineering and support of this new technology platform covering two playout centers as well as all Eurosport’s markets in Europe.

The Technology & Operations group is looking for a Level2 Audio Support Engineer:
The Audio Support Engineer will support the audio production of Eurosport and WBD Sports programs and the production of localized commentaries in 20 languages for central and regional outputs.
They will also oversee the audio processing for ingest and playout from the regional production sites to our two datacenters in Europe controlled from both London and Paris.
Core responsibilities:
Level 2 support on audio productions for Pan European programs and localized audio productions for the local versions of Eurosport (all platforms, including digital and linear).
Quality assurance of the signals between the production sites and the datacenters: audio over IP transport, routing, audio levels, lip-sync, ensuring standards, workflows and procedures.
Technical assistance to commentators for either booths sessions or remote (at home) commentary using our in-house developed platform.
Technical assistance to audio operators on remote mixing, central aggregation of all languages, lip-sync check and alignment for playout and ingest.
Technical assistance on broadcast audio tools: intercom systems, mixing desks and cores, monitoring tools, editing and mixing software’s.
Technical assistance for major events onsite productions (Olympics, Gold live events) for the onsite team: audio signals and commentaries produced on site transport back to the datacenters, intercom solutions. Close collaboration with the audio engineering group.
Participate in development of Eurosport production offices and integration of Eurosport localization systems.
Background and Experience:
Bachelor degree in broadcast technology or similar.
Demonstrate level 2 experience in broadcast technology in a support or engineering role.
A logical and observation-based approach, with excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Rigorous with detail and skilled in writing accurate and succinct incident reports (using defined ticketing tools).
A strong and self-motivating team member with emphasis on excellent customer service and communication skills.
A deep knowledge of audio over IP (2110 standards, AES67), local networks, major operating systems (Mac and Windows), broadcast devices, audio operations (mixing, routing, monitoring).
Knowledge of hardware and software audio tools (mixing, transmission, monitoring, edit and ingest).
Knowledge of intercom systems and workflows.
English and French (optional), both spoken and written
Additional parameters:
London based.
Shifted role (evenings, nights and weekends).
Minimal travel anticipated (Europe).
On-call support.
