JOB PURPOSE
IWG are seeking ambitious individual who is eager to gain valuable legal experience during their summer break, with a commitment of 4-8 weeks.
The IWG head office legal team plays a key role in delivering commercial and legal advice across the world. We now seek to appoint a legal intern who can readily integrate into this energetic and creative working environment. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, and working closely the General Counsel and with the rest of the legal team and management across all areas of the business, you will assist with a variety of legal and commercial affairs across the Group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Assisting with the first draft of documents including NDAs, cease and desist letters and managed client agreements.
- Legal research.
- Maintaining business critical legal registers and legal document retention systems.
- Proof reading documents and assisting with formatting and finalising for signature.
- Organising the execution of documents in wet ink or docusign.
- Ad-hoc assistance to the legal team on a wide range of other corporate, commercial and real estate issues.
- Day to day administrative tasks as and when required including filing, scheduling meetings, photocopying, file searches etc.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Studying Law
- LPC/SQE 1 (desirable).
- Good at prioritising, organising and have good time-management.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on delivering a quality service to stakeholders.
- Ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to liaise confidently with lawyers of all levels and stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and good computer skills.
