Position Summary: The primary function of the Support Service Assistant (SSA) is to assist the residents with personal, physical and emotional care daily. In addition, the SSA is to maintain the resident’s household and attend appointments when needed. While on duty, the SSA is fully responsible for the residents, emergencies and household duties as assigned.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide personal care to residents according to their Individual Service Plan and Basic Service Agreement.
- Monitor/Administer medications to residents according to regulations, procedures and the schedule prescribed by consulting MD.
- Report all changes in resident’s physical and emotional status to the director or RN supervisor.
- Provide daily activities for residents.
- Maintain the laundry and upkeep of rooms, making sure common areas clean, comfortable and presentable at all times.
- Assist with meal and snack preparation, with attention to details to special diets and clean-up responsibilities.
- Assisting in fire drills and equipment checks and being attentive to household and weather conditions.
- Responsible for adhering to department specific policies and performing other duties as required or assigned.
- Must be able to work every other weekend
- Attend mandatory monthly SSA staff meetings.

Pay: From $10.50 per hour

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
Weekly schedule:
- Rotating weekends
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Milwaukee, WI 53223: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Medication administration: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CNA (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Night Shift (Preferred)
- Overnight Shift (Preferred)
