We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel to join Renishaw’s Technology, Privacy & Security Law team.
Responsibilities
- Key point of contact for technology and privacy law related matters.
- Draft and negotiate technology contracts, including software licensing and SaaS agreements.
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements.
- Conduct vendor due diligence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new and changing privacy laws and regulations.
- Keep up to date on the latest guidance and best practices within the privacy field (including cyber security).
- Maintain appropriate data processing records.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure that privacy issues are considered by design.
- Prepare and provide training.
Key requirements
- Qualified lawyer
- 2-3 years' experience of commercial contract drafting and negotiation
- Knowledgeable advisor on privacy related matters
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated self-starter with a “can do” attitude
- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate at all levels
- Highly competent IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, contract management systems)
Desirable requirements
- IAPP or similar privacy qualifications
