What’s the role?
Reporting to the Head of Legal & Risk this opportunity will form part of a global in-house Legal & Risk Team serving all of Insights’ offices around the world.
We have 2 positions available one is permanent and the other would be for a minimum of 9 months. Ideally you'll be based in the East Coast of Scotland so you can travel to our H/O in Dundee regularly. Most of the team are UK based but you do have colleagues in Singapore and Canada that you’ll connect with regularly.
Day to day you’ll
- Support our implementation of legal tech solutions to automate our global contracting processes
- Lead, review and conclude contract negotiation to finalise Terms & Conditions in a timely and pragmatic manner
- Spot potential issues across the organisation and make recommendations to resolve them, consulting with Head of Legal & Risk or other peers
- Manage the provision of legal advice and guidance by the team, (across jurisdictions) managing and protecting IP assets
- Participate in cross functional teams as a legal and risk representative offering guidance and support, keeping the wider legal team appraised on progress
- Champion policies and actively implement processes to support smooth transactions
- Manage more junior legal team members globally
What you’ll bring
- At least 2 years’ PQE from practice or in-house and qualified in Scottish Law
- A good foundation in commercial law, data protection, intellectual property, governance and risk
- An ability to negotiate providing general commercial legal advice
- Strong skills in building and maintaining client relationships
- The instinct to dig deep into the needs and interests of clients to generate ideas and solutions to problems.
- Ability to quickly grasp key issues and understand their strategic importance as a context for project coordination
- A strong focus on the customer experience and always prepared to ‘go the extra mile' in delivering service on time and to the highest standards
- A proactive approach to problem identification and solution
- Highly motivated, action oriented and thrives on a challenge
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure with great time management
