Job Purpose
The Legal Administrator will be a part of Veritas Solicitor’s fantastic client Onboarding team. The business is experiencing further growth as a result of increased instructions and therefore have a requirement for a capable and confident Legal Administrator. Effectively the first point of contact within the firm for our clients.
Our Client Services team typically handle incoming client matters providing excellent customer service levels, high attention to detail towards the client complain. Ensuring a smooth transition and internal handover to our case handlers and Solicitors. The purpose of the role is to deliver exception client care standards, ensure all required documents/information/evidence etc. is acquired and updated on our systems. Prompt communication between client and third parties providing updates and requests, managing expectations at each opportunity.
Competency Requirements
- Speaking with Client’s and taking personal details and details pertaining to their claim.
- Drafting Letters of Claim.
- Confident telephone manner and communication skills
- Ensure the phones are answered promptly to maintain a high standard of service
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times applying a duty of care towards clients who could be deemed vulnerable.
- Use of proclaim case management system ensuring confidentially and compliance with regulatory standards. Previous user experience would be advantageous however not essential.
- Handling inbound and outbound calls to take initial information on cases where further information is required
- Assessment of specialist claims with due diligence and attention to detail
- Collating and reviewing file information from potential clients to ensure informed decision making
- Liaising with fee earners and file handlers where required to seek additional advice or clarity on the feasibility of cases
- Accepting or rejecting claims based on evidence acquired
- Carrying out due diligence and fraud checks to flag or check any cases where credibility or fraud concerns are apparent
- Ensure that all customer data is entered and stored
- Reporting into your Team Manager for advice, guidance, or transparency around matters.
- Adhering to all firm policies at all times
Skills & Qualifications
- GCSEs 5 A-C including English and Math
- Experienced using Microsoft suites and applications
- Proclaim experience – preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- Excellent Administration and organization skills
- High standards of customer and client care
- Driven to provide excellent client services
- Ambitious with an eye to progress internally within the firm
- A motivated self-starter able to manage their own workload
- Empathetic and compassionate towards clients who may be deemed vulnerable
