Legal Assistant
Maple Reinders Group seeks a full-time, talented, energetic Legal Assistant to join the Legal Services group, working with and reporting to the General Counsel to provide support to all aspects of the company’s business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Counsel and legal team on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordinate external and internal communication.
- Respond to inquiries from clients, lawyers and external professionals, as required and instructed.
- Data entry, organize information required for corporate records.
- Perform meeting management functions, including scheduling appointments and booking boardrooms.
- Back up reception when needed.
- Assist with other projects.
- Experience as a corporate legal assistant is an asset
- Legal Office Administration Certificate or Diploma is preferred.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills; prioritizing skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently within a small team environment.
- Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
