GGC is seeking 2* detail-oriented Legal Department Records & Archives Assistants.*
*Location: 50 Merton St. and 180 Duncan Mill, Toronto, ON.
About This Opportunity
Reporting to the Legal Specialist, in this role, you will be part of the Operations Team. You will support the GGC archives and records management program as we consolidate files and artifacts.
The Records & Archives Assistant will:
· Prepare files for scanning (removing staples, entering file names into database).
· Scan files.
· Prepare files for shredding.
· Be Shredding or arranging for shredding.
· Identify duplicate materials in archives collection (uniforms, photographs and publications).
· Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
· Liaise with other departments as required.
· Apply organizational policies regarding inclusivity to content, member communication and customer service.
· Other duties as assigned
You are an ideal candidate if you:
· Have the ability to lift 40lbs.
· Are working towards or have completed a degree or diploma in a related or have equivalent work experience.
· Have excellent attention to detail and sound analytical skills in relation to numerical data.
· Can demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
· Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Have intermediate knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Assets:
· Familiar with Girl Guides of Canada and/or have experience in the voluntary sector with non-profit organizations.
· Fluency in French.
Salary: $15.50 per hour, based on a 35-hour work week.
*Salary based on location, Greater Toronto Area
