We are one of the fastest growing and highly regarded law firms in the South with eight offices across Dorset and Hampshire. Due to our expansion, we are looking to take on a highly motivated Legal Administrator Apprentice to join our friendly team in Canford Cliffs Office.
Key Responsibilities
You will work with Private Client Department to create and maintain a happy working environment where a friendly yet professional service is offered to all clients. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Photocopying, scanning and filing documents.
- Audio-typing and printing finished documents.
- Provide assistance in sorting incoming post as well as in processing outgoing post.
- File closures and archiving.
- Helping with reception cover typically one day a week.
- Answering calls, greeting clients and visitors to the Canford Cliffs Office.
- Screening phone calls and taking detailed messages.
- Arranging appointments and providing refreshments to clients.
- Provide administrative support to other staff to ensure smooth operation of the office and the wider team.
- Support solicitors and fee-earners by occasionally generating letters, typing letters and attendance notes using case management system and digital recording system.
- Other administrative duties such as directed by solicitors / fee-earners which may include data entry, word processing, establishing new case files and drafting simple correspondence.
Key Skills
- An excellent standard of written and spoken English
- Be a good verbal and written communicator
- Be very well organised with a good attention to details
- Good IT skills, especially in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to learn new systems especially case management and digital recording systems

Qualifications required
- The ideal Legal Administrator Apprentice will have a minimum of 5x GCSEs A – C (9 - 4) including Maths and English
In return for your hard work, we offer you support, mentoring and training to achieve a qualification as a Legal Administrator Apprenticeship (level 3) through an approved apprenticeship scheme.
