Job description
The School of Media Arts and Humanities at the University of Sussex invites applications for lectureships in American History (Pre-1900), Visual and/or Material Culture, and Spanish and Linguistics. These are indefinite research and education positions at Lecturer level.
We are particularly interested in candidates who will support the School’s Black@Sussex project, our relationship with the Stuart Hall Foundation, and advance the work of the University’s Inclusive Sussex strategy.

We have under-representation from staff from Black and Black origin communities, people of colour and BME groups in the School and we would particularly welcome applications from these groups.
All appointments will be made on merit.
The University of Sussex celebrates and promotes diversity, equality and inclusion amongst our staff and students and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Applications are particularly welcomed from Disabled, Black and Minority Ethnic candidates, who are under-represented in academic posts in our department.
