We are doing this through empowering and creating opportunity for all our students and staff so as they may learn, discover and enrich society locally, nationally and internationally.
The School of Social Sciences, Nottingham Trent University (NTU) – an introduction
NTU’s School of Social Science is many things to many people. We’re one of the UK’s preeminent teaching and learning environments; a conduit for unique opportunities in both academia and business; a nationally and internationally recognised research centre; a hub for the strategic partnerships that are shaping civic, cultural and social life; and a true beacon for the community.
As an aspiring university of the future, we understand and embrace our key obligations – to create new opportunities and manage the deployment of skills and knowledge for the betterment of communities, society and professional practice. The School of Social Science is key in realising those commitments, and these posts are part of that ambition to provide genuinely life-changing opportunities.
Our plans for the future
These are exciting times for the School. The recently established Institute of Health and Allied Professions is developing a range of new provision for healthcare professionals across the sector including nursing and paramedics. We have excellent partnerships with practice providers to help us develop high quality education and research, to enable us to deliver meaningful change to our community and further fulfil the University’s strategic commitment to enriching society.
At NTU, we recognize that our greatest strengths lie in the energy, expertise, and experience that our colleagues bring. We are therefore seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior in Healthcare Biosciences to join our growing interprofessional healthcare team.
You will contribute to the leadership and delivery of a range of pre- and post-registration programmes for health professionals at the institute and work in conjunction with our partners to offer an excellent student experience.
