The School
London Campus of York St John University is an ambitious and growing academic unit. Our burgeoning national and international research profile, excellent teaching and learning, and welcoming and inclusive ethos support an exceptional student experience. The London Campus offers several postgraduate programmes pertaining to our reputable MBA Business Administration and MBA Healthcare Management. In addition to our MSc programmes in International Project Management, Digital Marketing, and Global Healthcare Management. We also offer our postgraduate MSc programmes in the fields of Computer and Data Science. Furthermore, we have an ambitious plan in developing more postgraduate provisions in the near future that suits the needs and aspirations of the constantly changing market of the international workforce.

The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer to contribute to our vibrant postgraduate offers in the MBA Business Management and MBA Healthcare Management.
The academic knowledge required for this particular role is exclusive to the areas of Financial Management.
The successful candidate will be involved in teaching and research/scholarly activities. The involvement in teaching entails a variety of settings, including small group tutorials/seminars and lectures; assessment; and the provision of pastoral and academic support to students. In addition to the preparation of high-class academic materials relevant to the MBA programmes. The involvement in research/scholarly activities entails our support in developing a solid research profile for the successful candidate with a clear research plan and trajectory relevant to the areas of Financial Management.
The successful candidate will be joining a small but growing team of academics with excellence in teaching postgraduate programmes as well as burgeoning engagement and aspirations in producing impactful research and scholarly outputs.
Key requirements
The successful candidate will have expertise in teaching in areas of Financial Management at a postgraduate level. The successful candidate will be supported in cultivating an impactful research profile in relevant areas.
Required Skills and Experience
For this Lecturer post you will have:
- A good, relevant first degree, or master’s degree.
- A doctoral-level qualification (DBA/PhD) is desirable. Candidates without a doctoral qualification but with relevant knowledge and/or industry expertise will be highly considered.
- A Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or willingness to undertake).
- A track record of research output or be able to demonstrate a clear research plan, trajectory or aspiration toward their areas of research interest and the potential contribution.
- A strong record in attracting funding for research or demonstrate the potential to attract such funding.
- Candidates with professional business experience coinciding with the previously mentioned academic qualifications will be highly considered.
