Kitchen Assistant
BCP Council Band C points 3 -4 (20,812-£21,189)
40 weeks per year - starting salary approx. £15,468 for 27.5 hours per week

Linwood School is an ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted January 2018) multi-campus, day special school for children aged 4 – 19. We welcome pupils from a wide geographical area and support a comprehensive range of special educational needs including moderate (MLD), severe (SLD) and profound (PMLD) and complex learning difficulties (CLDD) as well as pupils on the Autism spectrum.
We are seeking to appoint a reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering team at Linwood School. The successful candidates will be required to undertake catering and cleaning duties as detailed in the job description.
The post is for 27.5 hours per week to be worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. These hours will be worked across term time (38 weeks per year) plus an additional 2 weeks outside of term time which will include inset days.
This role will largely be based at Linwood Campus, Alma Road, Winton but will include some travel to our other campuses on a Rota basis and so a genuine occupational requirement exists for the successful candidate to hold a full driving license and hold business insurance for this purpose. Driving and vehicle documentation will be checked on appointment and annually thereafter. The role is subject to a 6 months mandatory probationary period.
