We are looking for a vibrant and committed lecturer at our Truro Campus who will combine, both appropriate academic and teaching qualifications with industry experience, ideally from a range of education age phases. This is due to the growth within the newly formed Education and Training Department, whose ethos is to inspire and develop the educators of the future.
The Education and Training Team are hard-working and supportive, running courses from Level 2 to Level 7 in Education and Training. Courses include a wide and varied curriculum offer including from T-Level Education and Early Years, NCFE CACHE L2 and L3 qualifications, apprenticeships, Adult Future Skills courses to Degree programmes and PGCE/Cert ed for Further Education.
The successful applicant will be required to provide high quality teaching on education and training programmes, contribute to providing an outstanding learning experience for our students and be flexible to changes within provision as the educational landscape develops.
The successful applicant may be required to teach on a range of courses, including Study Programmes for 16-19 year olds, Adult Provision, apprenticeships and Degree level programmes. The modules you will teach will be linked to your vocational expertise and experience, and you may be asked to lead on the development of a module or unit. You will have tutorial responsibility for a group of learners and oversee their development and progression. They will also need to work with confidence with a wide variety of ability levels and show enthusiasm for all aspects of the subject.
We are looking for a vibrant and committed person who will combine a good honours degree in Early Years and Childhood Education and/or extensive relevant professional experience, and a teaching qualification. You will be passionate about Education including all age phases, and supporting students to gain the skills, knowledge and qualifications to progress on to higher level studies, or to join the workforce.
Due to the nature of this role, applicants should have their own transport and have a flexible approach to be able to teach some evenings. The successful applicant will need to be committed to CPD and contribute to providing a truly outstanding learning experience for our students.
- Salary as advertised is based on a qualified lecturer. Non-qualified applicants will be considered but will be paid on a non-qualified lecturer scale.
