Learning Support Tutor

Salary: £28,172 - £31,645 (Pro rata salary £24,634 - £27,670). Incremental progression throughout the band is available
Contract Type: Fixed Term contract until January 2024 (Maternity cover), Term Time Only | Hours per Week: 36.5 | Location: Worsley Campus Walkden Road, Worsley, M28 7QD
We require a highly motivated individual to join our team in providing one to one support to students with a variety of learning needs. You will support students across a diverse range of curriculum areas within the SCC group.
You will support students who have identified learning differences, Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and medical/disability needs. You will develop students’ underpinning Literacy, Numeracy and Language skills on a one to one basis.
You will have experience in supporting students with Autism and identified learning differences, and be familiar with interpreting initial and diagnostic test results. You will use a variety of assessment results to develop individual learning strategies, enabling students to reach their full potential.
You will have the ability to inspire and motivate a range of students and a sound understanding of the issues facing young people with barriers to their learning. You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent and have a recognised Skills for Life qualification or equivalent.
