The Learning Support team are seeking to recruit Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), to join them in providing a range of high quality support to learners with identified learning difficulties and/or disabilities across the working week, Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30.
You will support learners across a range of courses from Entry level to Level 3 / A Level who have learning difficulties and disabilities including Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD and Hearing & Visual/Physical Impairments. The successful candidate will provide in-class support and online support to individuals and groups of learners, which includes note-taking, assisting with personal care and mobility support.
You should have at least 12 months of experience of working with young people and have a sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures. You must possess at least a Level 2 qualification, GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
You will have a flexible and can-do approach; be committed to team work and have a positive approach towards all learners. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to work effectively with a range of students and staff.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to undertake further training where identified.
