Learning Disabilities Support Worker - BS35 & Surrounding areas
Up to £11p/h (PAYE) + holiday pay + pension contribution + benefits
Zero hour, part time and full time hours available
A DBS on the update service is a great advantage but not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be part of a well ran team supporting 30 service users who require positive interactions, meds and some personal care. Any personal care is mainly done on the evenings. The team there are very experienced and know the service users well, you take them out into Thornbury town for activities and also hold events and activities on site as a sense of community is the services main goal for the service users. There are lots of shifts here on a weekend, long days and 8 hour shifts, as well as evening shifts and some 8 hour shifts on the weekdays.
If you're looking for day shifts around BS35 and have experience working with adults with learning disabilities, this service would be a great place for you to try somewhere new and settle in to regular and consistent shifts.
Drivers will find this easier to get to, but if you feel you can commute by public transport that's great too.

For This Role, you will need:
- 6 months paid, hands-on experience
- To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
- Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Desirable: DBS on the update service
