Learning and Development Programmes Specialist - Leadership

Human Resources lead the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking a number of experienced individuals for this exciting new role as Learning and Development Programmes Specialists with expertise in leadership development

As Learning and Development Programmes Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Leadership Development to scope, architect and manage a portfolio of learning and development solutions:

In this role, you will:

  • Develop our enterprise-wide learning solutions through HSBC University and its academies
  • Work with HR and business leaders to prioritise the development of new solutions whilst ensuring our core development offering for employees offering for employees remains relevant and up to date
  • Ensure programmes are aligned to the purpose, values and strategic priorities of the bank
  • Oversee the design of curricula and structured programmes, working with third party vendors, global and regional teams
  • Ensure global and regional teams are engaged in gathering requirements, defining strategy and solution design
  • Oversee the local testing, customisation and execution of the learning and talent curricula and programmes globally, ensuring adherence to policy, standards and execution principles
  • Utilise modern platforms alongside our network of learning campuses to design development solutions that provide an exceptional experience for our colleagues and commercial value for our business
  • Set the execution requirements, communicating these to Heads of People Capability and Regional teams
  • Oversee the customisation and execution of content in regions and within Academy programmes
  • Partner with relevant vendors and regional/local stakeholders to design and execute global programmes
  • Communicate the People Capability offering to HR and business stakeholders
  • Oversee the local testing, customisation and execution of global learning and talent curricula and programmes, ensuring adherence to policy, standards and execution principles
  • Define outcome measures for learning delivery (including course evaluation) and impact, driving the collection of data to demonstrate execution and business value (i.e. ROI)
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Deep expertise in methods and approaches to leadership development at executive and senior management level
  • Experience of advising senior leaders and senior HR colleagues on the leadership development approach to business challenges
  • Technical subject matter expertise in learning, skills and talent development including external trends and developments
  • Demonstrated skilled in learning design in different modalites
  • Adapted learning and development for different business environments and /or locations and / or cultures
  • Worked with subject experts and vendors to deliver learning
  • Experience of project management and co-ordinating delivery through others
  • Experience of working in a large matrix organisation, ideally international
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of managing stakeholder relationships including senior stakeholders
  • Experience of managing the end-to-end learning solution lifecycle
  • Deployment of large-scale complex projects
The base location for this role is flexible in the UK with regular travel to 8 Canada Square to connect in person.
