About the team

The Rapid 7 Enterprise Automation team is made up of developers, Functional testers and automated testers. The technology stack includes Salesforce, Netsuite, Workato and AWS to name a few. About the role

Rapid7 is looking for a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join an award winning Enterprise Automation Team as it continues to grow and advance the organisation's automation and integration needs. We need a team player with solid testing chops to deliver high quality experiences to both customers and internal business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is someone who can contribute to a team tasked with delivering enterprise automation and empowering our citizen IT community

In this role, you will:

  • Create an automation testing framework that can be used within Enterprise Automation and beyond

  • Perform automated/functions testing of integrations/automations developed by Enterprise Automation team

  • Translate assigned end-user requirements into fully documented test cases and automated scripts in accordance with approved test plans

  • Execute test cases and scripts using automated test tools or manually when required

  • Participate project requirements reviews to understand test objectives and to provide input on testability of requirements

  • Review implementations against requirements from business stakeholders to ensure alignment with specifications

  • Proactively keep your project team updated on project status.

  • Work with department leaders to help refine the QA Process

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • 4 to 7 years of both blackbox testing and test automation of web sites and applications

  • Familiarity with business process automations and the SDLC around it

  • Experience building and running automated testing, regression testing, smoke testing, exploratory testing, integration and automation testing, functional testing, usability testing

  • Demonstrable experience with at least one test automation framework

  • Experience with Git and Jenkins or similar version control and build platforms

  • Experience with test management, defect tracking, and requirements management tools.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical/problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity working with CRM, ERP’s and iPaaS systems

  • Willingness to work with and challenge developers to improve code quality assurance

  • Coordinate with senior test engineers to design and align on automated testing best practices

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with best in class enterprise automation integration platforms such as Workato, Mulesoft, Boomi, UIPath or similar.

  • Some experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#

  • Experience in developing RESTful API clients, automated workflows, or robotic process automation.

  • Background in integration patterns and platforms like Workato, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Engine or Azure

  • Experience with delivering enablement and documentation for business users

  • Security domain expertise or mindset

  • Accessibility testing and tools

  • Load or performance testing platforms
