We are recruiting for aBand 7 Lead Practice Educator- International Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will join the Clinical Education Team to deliver the agenda of supporting and developing all learners in the clinical area. The post holder is responsible for leading the provision and delivery of a high-quality international nurses’ education, training and development programme leading to successful NMC registration.
The post holder will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and partners:
Internal: IENs, Clinical Education Manager, Head of Clinical Education, Associate Director of People Capability, Deputy Chief Nurse, Clinical Practice Educators/ Facilitators, Clinical/ Divisional Practice Development Leads, Preceptorship team, Preceptors, Matrons, Ward Sisters/Charge Nurses, International Recruitment team, Nursing Workforce Lead and Human Resources teams.
External: Hertfordshire and West Essex -Integrated Care System (HWE-ICS), NHSE/I, other Trusts, NMC.
Working hours are 34 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Key elements of the role include:
To develop and implement educational and developmental programmes for internationally educated nurses (IENs) at ENHT
To ensure that systems are in place to enable all IENs access these programmes
To facilitate acquisition of the necessary skills, knowledge, and competence for IENs to register with the NMC
To work collaboratively with the Clinical Education team, wider Practice Development community, clinical areas/ division and their leads and colleagues across the system to support the settling in and transition of IENs to UK nursing practice including preceptorship, pastoral and well-being services.
To act as a role model and resource for practice and professional guidance in relation to international nurses and other future workforce
To maintain an overview of the progress of IENs and programme milestones by keeping and monitoring the database, intervening when key objectives are not being met
To prepare and provide reports on the international nurse programme for governance and assurance groups e.g. Clinical Oversight and Workforce Steering Group and Education Board
To promote, facilitate and enhance the capacity and quality of the overall clinical learning environment through evidence-based nursing practice
To work in accordance with ENHT People Strategy and Values Charter and NMC Core Practice Standards and contributing towards achieving the Trust’s objectives
