This role will have overall responsibility for the relocation and set up of the L’Occitane UK warehouse from Beckton, East London to Bristol (Oct 2023-March 2024). The role will oversee the transfer of product, equipment and furniture from the old site to the new site whilst ensuring that we re-purpose wherever we can, in line with our commitment to sustainability.
Along with key stakeholders, this role will also be required to ensure that L’Occitane UK & Ireland is able to fulfill all orders, with no impact to the end customer (internal and external)
The role will require travel between the sites (London and Bristol) and regular online meetings.

What Will You Do?
Distribution Centre
- Work with the DC Manager to gain a full understanding of the current operation
- Understand and work within the project budget, highlighting any potential impact ahead of time
- Oversee the set-up of the new site whilst working closely with the DC Manager in Beckton
- Manage contractors ensuring there is a log of activity/works planned to allow site access and an efficient project completion
- PMO follow up calls/meetings to be planned on a weekly basis
Demand Planning
- Ensure the current omni-channel delivery schedule isn’t impacted during the project
- Anticipate, communicate and anticipate the impact and understand what needs to be communicated in advance to prevent delivery failure to all internal stakeholders including retail, web, wholesale
- Ensure the correct stock is in the correct location so that the business and customer isn’t negatively impacted
I.T.
- Link with the I.T. Project team to ensure the project plan is smooth
- Work with UK I.T. team on installation and set-up e.g. internet, wifi, IT equipment
Human Resources
- Work closely with the UK HR & Recruitment team to ensure and relocations and recruitment are managed effectively and all employees are onboarded in a way that makes them feel valued and part of the team
The Perfect Candidate:
- 5-7 years’ project management experience within an operational logistics environment
- Project management qualification such as Prince 2
- Project follow up experience is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and ensure all parties are kept up to date
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to be able to foresee potential issues
- Logical, pragmatic with the ability to make informed decisions
