The opportunity


The Service Delivery Leader (SDL) plays an integral and wide-ranging role in the delivery of the technology projects and programs across the Partnership landscape for the EY firm. This SDL role will focus on delivering programs and projects in support of (but not always be limited to) the Partnership Management and Payroll programs and ongoing support for all of EY.


Your key responsibilities


The SDL is responsible for working with various internal EY stakeholders in the Partnership teams at the regional and local levels to understand needs, opportunities and requests in order to assist in advising, prioritizing and ultimately delivering technology programs and projects in support of business initiatives. The expectation is being able to provide consultation during idea and concept discussions through to the successful delivery of projects and programs while using a team of internal and external technology staff. This is in consideration and with knowledge of the overall EY landscape, strategic direction and enterprise tools.


The SDL will lead a team of approximately 22 FTE for both the delivery of projects and programs and to provide operational support. This will include ensuring practical hands-on experience to develop their technical and soft skills, to direct coaching.


Skills and attributes for success


To qualify for the role you must have


  • Understand the relevant functional area in Partnership, gained through a combination of program delivery / implementation and support.
  • Make informed judgments and take appropriate action regarding issues which may potentially impact the quality of services delivered by the Partnership IT team across the relevant functional area
  • Analyze requirements from the business and take appropriate steps to define action plans which are detailed, meaningful and set expectations appropriately with the business
  • Ensure ongoing awareness of the impact of future programs across the functional area and provide input to impact assessments as required.


Ideally, you’ll also have


  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in consulting or IT implementation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Direct experience in complex management activities including supplier management and the delivery of complex IT services to customers
  • Significant experience of developing and managing portfolio plans and planning demand in line with business priorities
  • Direct experience in managing onshore and offshore staff and budgets.
