McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a growing regional Accountancy Firm with 5 offices and 85+ staff across London and the Thames Valley who are looking for a General Practice Partner or Audit Partner (or Partner Designate) to join their growing team. Working in their Berkshire offices and reporting to one of the Senior Partners, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of OMBs/SMEs including Limited Companies, PE-backed firms and Partnerships (typically up to £80m turnover) and managing a team of Qualified & Junior staff across the office. Key deliverables for the position include:
- Reviewing complex client accounts & financial statements prepared by Qualified staff for client sign-off
- Ensuring all Audit & Account assignments comply with UK Accounting Standards and internal policies & procedures
- Managing complex audits, staff planning, presenting final audit files/close-out meetings with clients
- Planning special project assignments, ownership of agreed budgets and ensuring the teams meet client deadlines.
- Setting objectives and completing appraisals for Audit & Accounts staff, including future staff growth planning for the office
- Engaging with new clients and business development activities to help grow the firm across the whole Thames Valley region
- As Partner, main point of contact for clients with direct contact at CFO/CEO level
- Ensuring all Audit work across the office is carried out profitably & on a timely basis in accordance with the firm’s standards
- Attending weekly Board Meetings with other Partners in the firm to discuss future growth strategy, staff planning, marketing etc
- Promoting other service lines within the firm and attending external business seminars/events as required
To be considered for the Audit/Audit & Accounts Partner role you should be a Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant with RI status, with comprehensive External Audit experience and strong staff management and business growth skills. The firm is happy to consider current Partners wanting to make a move to a different practice, or someone at Director level who has the potential to become Partner in 1-2 year’s time. They are looking for ambitious, entrepreneurial, strategic and highly-driven personality traits; someone who can help double revenues in the office within the next 3 years. As a salaried Partner initially, a salary up to £110,000 is on offer with benefits to include company pension, healthcare, 25 days holidays and flexible/WFH benefits.
